黃韻如為台灣當代女性藝術家，創作題材以女性人體為主。除了身體的物理樣態，藝術家更關注於身形之下所傳達的身體經驗。

在他的創作歷程中，發現從古至今以男性藝術家創作為主的女體繪畫中，儘管能夠精準描繪出女性體態、肌膚質感......等，作為女性觀者的他直覺當中似乎還少了些甚麼。在完美的人體解剖學中似乎缺失了作為女性才能同理的真實經驗。特別是在社會對女性角色，作為好女孩、女人、女兒、妻子、母親......等的種種期待下，欲加上的各式標籤所對其造成的壓迫。在他的畫作中，不論是大型的壓克力作品或彩墨速寫小品，在時而憂傷淡然，時而強烈的多元筆調中，描繪出社會期待下尋求自由時個體的掙扎與療癒。

Huang Yun-Ru is a contemporary female artist from Taiwan, whose work primarily focuses on the female body. Beyond the physical appearance of the body, the artist is more interested in the experiences conveyed beneath the form. Throughout her creative journey, she realized that in the long history of female nude paintings dominated by male artists, although they could precisely depict the female form, skin texture, and so on, there seemed to be something missing from her perspective as a female viewer. Even with perfect anatomical knowledge, the true experience that only women can fully empathize with appears absent. This is especially evident under societal expectations for women to fulfill roles such as the "good girl," woman, daughter, wife, mother, and the many labels and pressures imposed by these expectations. In her paintings, whether large acrylic works or smaller ink sketches, through a diverse range of brushstrokes that vary between melancholic serenity and intense emotion, she portrays the struggle and healing of individuals seeking freedom under societal pressures.
